Wisconsin Bavaria Alliance

Overview - Überblick

The Wisconsin-Bavarian Alliance was formed in 2023 to foster warm and heartfelt inter-contintental relations between Wisconsin and its source of deep heritage, the German state of Bavaria. All are welcome to join the Alliance, a movement that is sweeping taverns across Wisconsin and Biergärten in Munich and beyond!

Meet Our 2025 Ambassadors - Unsere Botschafter und Jugenbotschafter

The Alliance selects its annual ambassadors with great care, taking into account a wide range of qualities: delight in drinking significant quantities of the world's best beer, propensity to have a good time, a passion for sausages and sauerkraut, a deep knowledge of polka music, and an undying love of all things Bavarian. Starting in 2025, we added Junior Ambassadors to our ranks, since inspiring the next generation is of deep importance to the Alliance - Prost!

Our 2024 Members - Unsere Mitglieder

As the Alliance grows -- and we are sweeping southern Wisconsin and southern Germany! -- there comes a time when leadership is called for. Those beers won't drink themselves! So we chose with great care from our ranks, and have elected the following Members who embody all the qualities of character the Alliance valuesL good cheer, warm hearts, great singing voices, excellent taste in clothing (tracht, naturally), and as ever a deep love of all things Bavarian - Prosit!

Our Newest Sponsor - Unser Neuester Sponsor

After careful consideration, and in-depth research involving many, many liters of beer, we are proud to announce the Wisconsin Bavaria Alliance's newest sponsor, Wildbräu Brewery! Honoring a tradition of beer-making that dates back to 1060 AD, the folks at Wildbräu make some incredible beers, and immediately grasped the core principles of the Wisconsin Bavaria Alliance: having fun, drinking beer, and drinking beer while having fun! We are pleased to recognize their contribution, and our ambassadors enthusiastically look forward to touring their facilities, and quality-testing their beer, on our next adventure to Bavaria - Oans, zwoa, drei, g’suffa!

Apprentice Division - Lehrlingsabteilung

The Alliance is open to members of all ages, nationalities, and lifestyles (except wine drinkers, definitely no wine drinkers). However, there is a rigorous training program to which all new members must submit, and by rigorous we mean an evening of Singing, Dancing, Drinking Beers, and Honoring the Traditional Costume. Fortunately, the newest members of our Apprentice Division excelled in all the training activities, and were immediately promoted to full Alliance Membership. Some of these youg apprentices were later promoted to Junior Ambassadors, a real achievement - Grüße!

Hamburg Office - Hamburger Büro

Although the Alliance is primarily intended to foster relations between Wisconsin and Bavaria, we are welcoming and flexible! Former residents of Bavaria, no matter how far they have moved, are still lovingly embraced by the Movement, as they are always Bavarians at heart and carry the mission of the Alliance no matter where they reside. Below the Alliance celebrates an evening with exalted chiefs of the Munich and Hamburg offices.

Legal Services - Rechtsberatung

Even our ambassadors fall afoul of the law from time to time -- hey, it happens! But, the Alliance boasts a world-class legal department, and enjoys strong connections with the very highest levels of government. Fear not, our (slighly inebriated) ambassadors were soon set free, and passed the evening sharing liters of beer with our new security force buddies! Danke!

Our Official Beverage - Unser Offizielles Getränk

Any sufficiently immense donation allows a person or organization to become a sponsor of the Wisconsin Bavaria Alliance. However, we have high standards, so at present the Alliance has only accepted one sponsor. We are pleased to announce the newest members of the rapidly growing Alliance, Herzliche Wilkommen!
